Filling Gaps in Manhattan's Continuum of Care

- Housing MHK - Resident Services

We're working to provide services on an as-needed basis.

As we build capacity, we'll facilitate on-going programs and activities for all ages that may include, but are not limited to, workshops on nutrition, youth activities, building book rich environments, adult education, workforce development, and financial literacy

Mission

 Housing MHK's mission is two fold: 

  1. to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide housing for low-income individuals and families in our region  
  2. Enhance and assist in providing Resident Services for the Manhattan (PHA) Public Housing Authority.

What do we do?

Additional Information:

 

  • Provide Resident Services. We play an integral role in the day-to-day lives of families coordinating the provision of unmet service needs especially in conjunction with the Manhattan Housing Authority and other regional subsidized housing programming.  


  • Build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities. 


  • Improve access to safe and affordable housing through purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).
